Megas Yeeros participated in the “4th Food Safety Conference 2018” organized for the fourth consecutive year by Boussias Communications, on Tuesday, September 25, 2018.
Ms. Moumtzidou Korina, Quality Management Director of Megas Yeeros, had the opportunity to present the results of a Research Work, fully funded by Megas Yeeros, on the topic “GYROS- Potential Risks. Measures for its safe management ” analyzing the behavior of the super-frozen gyros compared to the fresh one.
Through experiments, sampling and laboratory analysis, Ms. Moumtzidou presented the findings of the research that prove that the super-frozen gyros offers higher quality and greater safety against the fresh one. As she explained in her speech, the super-frozen gyros does not allow, due to the low temperatures recorded during its grilling, the growth of germs inside. On the contrary, the fresh gyros remains for a long time at temperatures that favor the growth of microorganisms in its inner layers.
